#71: Easing the mental load

When it comes to your health and wellbeing, easing the mental load isn’t necessarily easy.

Much of the load we carry comes from our responsibilities, but it also comes from the enormous amount of work our brains have to do each day, from thinking about all the things, but also to the consumption of information it has to do.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • three ideas to help you deal with the mental load you currently have; and
  • one tip to reduce your mental load moving forward.

The first three centre on supporting your brain to preserve some of its energy during the day (no food involved).

The last tip is not necessarily easy to achieve, but I do believe it’s the only real long-term answer, and that is that someone else needs to have responsibility for some of the burden.

If you’re like me, and you have too many open tabs running in your brain for too long and too often and it’s wearing you out, then I hope this episode and ideas on easing the mental load help you too.
