Let’s start the year as we mean to go on and create more balance in our daily life in 2021.
In this episode I explain how our idea of balance is wrong – and no wonder we feel like we can’t achieve it, because it’s impossible!
Instead, I explain what balance really is – you feel it, not do it – and the five daily practices you can do in just minutes to feel more balanced every day, without adding anything to your schedule or to do list.
These are what I call the daily devotions of a balance practice:
- the 10 minute mind (journaling);
- the 10 minute moves (smart exercise);
- the 10 minute peace (meditation);
- the 10 minute meals (real fast food); and
- the 10 minute Gaia (nature).
These are true balance-creating strategies – they help calm your body and mind, focusing you on de-stress and not distress.
They are simple, easy and take very little time, giving you back some energy and motivation to do all the things you need to do throughout the day.
It doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming to create more balance. Sure, you might have to make some changes to your routines to make more space and time for you, but in the meantime, these give daily devotions will make your day-to-day existence a little easier.
